Now ultimately the patience of Krishnadevaraya was broken and he trembled with anger. Without delay, he came back to his palace and sent a message to that minister to be present at the court.

The minister reached the court in fear. Seeing him, Maharaj got angry. He reprimanded the minister and ordered him to deposit all the money in the royal treasury at the earliest. At the same time, Maharaj has now entrusted the task of carrying out relief and rescue work in the state to Tenali Raman. தெனாலி ராமனின் பேச்சைக் கேட்டதும் மௌனமானார் மன்னர். முன்னேறி செல்லும்படி சைகை செய்தார். இருவரும் சிறிது தூரம் முன்னேறிச் செல்ல, மன்னரின் கண்கள் அங்கிருந்த வடிகால்களை கண்டன. வடிகால்கள் மீது பாலம் அமைக்குமாறு அமைச்சரிடம் கோரிக்கை விடுக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில், பாலத்திற்கு பதிலாக மரங்கள் செருகப்பட்டிருந்தன. அரச தோட்டத்தில் இருந்த மர கட்டைகள் வடிகால்களின் மேல் போடப்பட்டதை மன்னர் புரிந்து கொண்டார்.

அப்போது தெனாலி ராமன் கேலியாக, “மன்னா, வெள்ளத்தில் அடிக்கப்பட்டு மரங்கள் இங்கு வந்து சிக்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கலாம். அமைச்சர் பேசிய பாலம் அடுத்ததாக கட்டப்படும்” என்றார்.
